Day 01 - Negombo

We will receive you from the Colombo airport and transfer to hotel in Negombo. Negombo is the nearest main city to the Airport. We have choosen this option as you may be arriving Sri Lanka after a long flight. Definitely you will require proper rest before starting the tour around Sri Lanka.
Beautiful Negombo beach is ideal for evening relaxation. You hotel in located on the beach and you do not require extra effort or extra time to go to beach.

The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established by the Sri Lankan Department of Wildlife Conservation in 1975 for feeding and providing care and sanctuary to orphaned baby elephants that were found in the wild. Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. There you can capture charming pictures of groups of elephants feeding and bathing in the river.

St Clair’s is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and called the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. It is a strikingly beautiful waterfall, which is approximately 80 meters in height and 50 meters in width. Day 05 - Colombo to BIA

Temple Of Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil

1. Temple Of Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil

Sri Kailasanathar Swami Devasthanam (temple) is located behind the Colombo fort railway station. There are some other names for this temple such as Captain’s Garden Hindu Temple, Kapikaawatha Shivan temple. Many believes this is the oldest Hindu temple in Colombo. Its history date back to 17th century. Though the buildings here are not that old it is very impressive to see its classic architecture and sculpture. Your chauffeur will take you on a tour inside the temple and show you around with interesting information.

2. Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque

Mosque is one of the iconic structure situated in Pettah district in Colombo. Due to eye catching appearance of its red and white swirl pattern, it is being a popular tourist attraction in Colombo. It was designed in 1908 by Habibu Lebbe Saibu Lebbe, an Indian Muslim trader who settled in Sri Lanka in early 1900s. You will be driven passed this iconic building on our tour, also be able to stop for a moment to take a picture of it.

This colourful Buddhist temple which has a history of 120 years is the most visited temple in Colombo. Temple runs a small museum, a collection of various artefacts and antiques belongs to Sri Lanka and different Buddhist cultures such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai will surprise you. “Seema Malaka” which is an assembly hall for monks designed by famous architecture Geoffrey Bawa, located in a lake close to the temple premises is also a one popular venue in Colombo. 4. Independence Memorial Hall

Independence Memorial Hall is situated in the Independence Square (formerly Torrington Square) at Colombo 7 in the Cinnamon Gardens, this Hall was built for the commemoration of the independence from British in 1940s. The monument was built at the location where the formal ceremony marking the start of self-rule, with the opening of the first parliament by Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester occurred at a special podium February 4, 1948. This Hall is designed on the architecture of the Magul Maduwa. (meeting hall of last king of Sri Lanka) located in Kandy. The column and pillars are decorated with traditional Sri Lankan carvings and paintings. It is being one of the popular venue among travelers in Colombo.
